  • Julian Ramirez and his son Elijah, both of Standing Rock Sioux Reservation. Julian struggled with alcohol addiction for many years until he was forced to become a single dad to his son. "Elijah's mom dropped him off at my house and never returned" Julian says. "It's been hard, but it's the best thing that has happened to me". Julian now lives a sober life.
